Replacing nerves with excitement is a great way to try and calm anxiety. Focusing on what makes you happy about things will be more beneficial than focusing on what scares you or makes you nervous.

Think of positive thoughts. The happier the thought, the happier you may feel. Loosen up, don't stress. Enjoy the scene!

Probably, but I love this method for myself. My motto - we can’t control what other people do, and so much in this world. All we can do is own how we respond to it. And I would rather respond with optimism and excitement and positive energy than nervousness and anxiety. Because even if it’s a naive excitement, at least I had the joy of all that time of excitement in my life history. Being pessimistic and expecting and getting the worst - that seems like a far less joyful life path. And a self fulfilling prophesy of anxiety and misery instead of being able to see and find the joy in all things.

The Facebook "Seen" message gives me a lot of anxiety! When I see that the person has "seen" the message, but does not reply, I start thinking about all the possible reasons why they would 'ignore' me... Does anyone else feel this? If so, how do you cope?
