Not being able to attend an event is not a sign of weakness! Strength is shown because you are aware that it would be too much for you to go. Keep moving forward!

No , It's not a sign that you're a week person . Sometimes we forget that as human beings it's okay for us to be not okay . If you don't want to attend the meeting then don't , if you're gonna feel uncomfortable then don't go. It's your life don't feel obliged to do something you don't really want to do it :D

Not at all! just because you are unable to for whatever reason doesn't make you weak. In fact it even makes you stronger because you are aware you cannot and you are doing whats best for you. There will be opportunities to attend more or do different things in the future. Right now you should focus on you because you matter, ask yourself how you're feeling? whats the reason you can't make it? do you have something else or do you not feel like it? regardless self care is important for either option so be kind to yourself and take it easy.

Absolutely not! We all have limitations. If an event, for whatever reason, makes you uncomfortable or puts you in a position where you may be exposed to triggers- you're doing what you need to do for your mental health. And your mental health is a gift, and keeping a clear mind and accepting that you have certain limitations can greatly reduce the amount of stress you are under- which may allow you to more clearly think through and cope with the emotions or experiences that cause this event to be an object of concern.

No! No matter what, your limitations are, they are your limitations and others should respect that! If they do not, they are not worthy of your time. You are not weak if you choose your limitations. That shows that you are strong.

No, it is not a sign that you are weak. It just indicates that this is not the right time for you to be attending the event, its a time to be taking good care of you and if that means staying in, thats okay.

Of course not! It just means that maybe you could talk to someone who knows more about the event that will be able to reassure you on whether you can cope with it or not.

No, strength of a person is not measured by their inability to do things, but rather how far they can go with what they are able to do.

Absolutely not. Sometimes, no matter how hard we want to push through our anxieties, we can't. And sometimes, we just can't do certain stuff. That doesn't mean we shouldn't try to grow and evolve past our anxieties, but it is merely a sign that you are human to struggle. That is no indication of a lack of strength.

The Facebook "Seen" message gives me a lot of anxiety! When I see that the person has "seen" the message, but does not reply, I start thinking about all the possible reasons why they would 'ignore' me... Does anyone else feel this? If so, how do you cope?
