It is very normal to feel scared to go to college. Going to college is a huge transition. But the good thing is, everyone is scared to go to college! So you are all in the same boat. It will take some time but you will get use to college, you will make friends and have a great time! Good luck!

Of course. College is a scary time and it's a huge life change! But just because it's different doesn't mean it's going to be bad :) A lot of people who go are scared, and many visit home within the first 2 months, so it's totally normal to be a bit nervous ^_^

Of course! It's a big life event and big life events can be scary, even if they are positive because they are unknown. It's totally normal to feel that way.

Yes definitely! Know you're not alone in feeling this way, and make sure you have resources to cope with the stress/anxiety that college might bring along. For example maybe you can share your feelings with a trusted friend or family member, and ask them if they would be willing to support you through adjustment to college life. Also check out academic and mental health resources your college offers(:

It is very normal! Some college campuses are huge and a little scary, so its okay to be scared. Its literally your first year attending it.

It's absolutely normal! College, after all, is a pretty big step in one's development (and it's no cake walk either!). That said, it's manageable; after all, you're in the same boat with so many people, and so many have come and gone before you. Believe in yourself.

That is normal! College is a huge change and can definitely cause a variety of emotions. It's normal to be scared, excited, nervous, happy, sad, etc. when it comes to going to college. There is a lot of pressure and it's normal to be scared, whether it's because of moving away, new classes, figuring out your future, etc. So remember it is normal, but you can get through it.

In my experience, it is a very normal thing to feel scared or nervous when making a big transition such as into college. Starting college is a very big life change and everyone experiences it in a different way.

Yes! It's a big change in life and a major step toward adulthood. Fear is totally normal, but if you find yourself overcome with fear or if the scary feeling is preventing you from doing what you want, you may want to try to understand more about where it's coming from.

The Facebook "Seen" message gives me a lot of anxiety! When I see that the person has "seen" the message, but does not reply, I start thinking about all the possible reasons why they would 'ignore' me... Does anyone else feel this? If so, how do you cope?
