Feeling scared is normal. College seems like a very scary thing. New people, new teachers, new building, new town, new lessons. It is normal to feel scared about things that you have to deal with every day for a long time. But dealing with the emotion is easier than you think. Once you get the first day out of the way. It will seem a lot better and easier to approach.

I think it is natural to feel scared of something new. I remember how scary it was for me. Although it was scary it was the best step for me.

Of course! It's going to be a brand new setting, you haven't experienced before. It's ok to feel scared and nervous. And even though you feel scared it all work out in the end.

It is completely normal. Changing school (and going on an higher level) is a turning point in your life and like anything that involves a great deal of change, it is normal to find it scary. But the good thing is, college allows you to have more freedom and to dedicate your life to what you like better. As scary as it is, college can turn out to be a really great experience!

Completely. The feeling of starting over again with new and unfamiliar opportunities and the overwhelming feeling of having to carry heavier responsibilities weighing on your shoulder is scary and natural. Many people experience the same feeling of anxiousness.

Yes, it's normal to feel scared going to college. You're going into a world you've never experienced before. Just having confidence and knowing people have your back is a good comfort. Just know you're not the only one feeling this way, and success is always in your sights.

It certainly is normal, Feeling scared is a common issue when attending somewhere new which is full of new people and new surroundings. However colleges have support networks for students who need support or just a friendly conversation. After a week or so you start know your whereabouts and start to form friendship groups and you may look back and think 'What was I scared of?'

Yes it is. We feel unsure of what is waiting fr us in college. We will experience culture shock and peer pressure but college makes you a new person. We just have to be aware if we let it makes us better or worse.

The Facebook "Seen" message gives me a lot of anxiety! When I see that the person has "seen" the message, but does not reply, I start thinking about all the possible reasons why they would 'ignore' me... Does anyone else feel this? If so, how do you cope?
