The major signs of a panic attack are sweating, trembling, shortness of breath, a choking sensation, chest pain, nausea, dizziness, fear of losing your mind, fear of dying, flushing, feeling that danger is nearby, a racing heart (as found in google), if you relate then it probably was. Alot of the time it is caused by severe stress, such as the death of a loved one, divorce, or job loss can also trigger a panic attack. Panic attacks can also be caused by medical conditions and other physical causes. So i would recommed checking in with your doctor just in case ! I wish you all the best

In fact, any person can experience a panic attack at least once in a lifetime. It does have a recurrence chance especially if it is linked to some flashbacks, past unresolved trauma, PTSD/phobia or a stressful lifestyle, sometimes without warning. The good thing is that it always passes, and imposes no dangerous health outcomes despite the intense feelings and emotions it may bring during the episode. If it happens frequently, talking to a therapist may help figure out the cause and try to find appropriate solutions. Talking to a trustworthy friend may help relieve some stress as also his/her presence may help you feel more secured, less embarrassed and help you gain control and practice grounding methods to stop it. Hope this was helpful!

It does depend on the reason for the panic attack. If you do get it again slow deep breathes. I keep a journal of my panic attacks.

Panic attacks can be very frightening. It usually starts by having some severe fear when there is no real danger, This fear causes physical symptoms such as rapid heartbeat, sweating, being short of breath, a choking feeling, or even feeling dizzy. You may feel like you are about to die. I had a brother who used to have panic attacks. He sought help from his doctor. With medication and therapy, he was able to overcome his attacks. I would suggest anyone who thinks that they are experiencing a panic attack seek help right away. You need to get evaluated to identify if it is a panic attack or if it's something else. Only a medical professional can make the correct diagnosis. They can then provide the proper treatment for help.
