When people are dying, it is not always possible to say goodbye. Sometimes, dying people feel that saying goodbye may add to the burdens of their friends, or they may feel that the act of saying goodbye means accepting their impending death, and for some people that may be very hard to do. Just remember that "goodbye" is a very hard word for some people. The more you care, the harder it is to say and even harder to accept.
