Turn to yourself. The love you've wished from someone else, give it to you. Take care of yourself as if you were your own parent. Our relationship with ourselves is the one we know is gonna last a lifetime. So if we nurture ourselves, we will be thankful for the extra love we get from others, not dependent on it. Do things for yourself with a little extra love. By focusing on self love because it is crucial to love oneself first before loving others or even expecting love from others. Learning to love oneself more helps in healing and dealing with feelings of not being loved the way one would love to be loved. Getting over unrequited love is done by directing love where it is returned in the same manner. Love is beautiful so should be equally shared amongst those sharing in it. Knowing that oneself is a unique being worthy of being loved is highly helpful in getting over unrequited love because it also builds confidence and helps eradicate feelings of not appreciating oneself due to feelings of love not being mutual or returned accordingly.
