I would try focusing on small things that are happening currently. Something like planning out a meal for tomorrow, or maybe focus on a new hobby. Exercise, Writing, Reading, Art. Anything that distracts you could help. But you also need to come to terms with it. You need to realise you're going to be fine. As long as you're happy in the future, you're winning.

Take a step back, slow down. List all the things that make you happy in your life right now and repeat this every time you begin to stress about your future :) Live in the present.

You must live in the present. If you live in the "now" and really focus on what you are doing now, there will be no worries. You can't control the future. Nobody can, by thinking too much about the future you create worries that makes your present bad. If you really think about it, the present is all you have and why spoil it with things that might never happen. Read more about mindfulness if you want to start practicing living in the moment. You will be amazed at how free you will feel!

Take a few slow, long deep breaths and focus your attention on the present moment allow yourself to feel grounded and supported in the present moment. You may also like to journal your concerns about the future. Taking some time for a walk in nature is also a great way to come back to the present moment

The best way I've found to stop worrying about the future is to take one thing at a time! One day at a time, one project at a time, one chore at a time. Its easy to get overwhelmed with the volume of things we have to do, but crossing things off one at a time feels better than stressing about what is going to happen next.

Worrying about your future is a normal thing, as there are so many different ways you could stress about. But, learning how to deal with negative feelings towards the future will help you to eventually be able to understand and do something about your emotions, instead of just letting them bother you.

The now has enough to think about in one day. Honestly by occupying yourself with what you have to do in the now it helps remove the worry about the future. When we focus to much on the future we can get swamped with anxiety and worry about things that, truly we don't even know about yet. So when that starts to happen it is best to start taking things a day at a time. Writing a list of things you need to get done today and doing that every day and focusing on those goals and making the achievable also helps as well.

The Facebook "Seen" message gives me a lot of anxiety! When I see that the person has "seen" the message, but does not reply, I start thinking about all the possible reasons why they would 'ignore' me... Does anyone else feel this? If so, how do you cope?
