You shouldn't worry about the future, is better to just focus on the present, so we can really live it. If we're always thinking about the future, we get really worried, because what's gonna happen it's uncertain. The present is were you always are and were you exist. Why worry about the future when you can just let it surprise you? This way you don't get anxious about what might happen, and you get disappointed when things don't turn out the way you expected. So live the NOW and ENJOY it ! :)

I stop worrying about the future by focusing on the present moment. I take time to reflect on how I am currently feeling, what is going on in my life? I focus on the good things happening me around me.

If you're worry about your future it usually means something isn't right in your present. Figure out what you can change in your present and change it. If you can't change it, maybe it's time to accept it and try something different.

A friend recently suggested to me that I focus on "what will make me feel better today" and not "what is making me feel bad." It seems simple but by switching your mentality, you can focus on smaller tasks that are realistic and avoid that overwhelming feeling that you aren't making a dent. Allowing yourself small successes does wonders for the heart and the mind and those decisions will lead you to where you truly want to be.

I think it's important to take a step back and just breathe. It is easy to worry about something that hasn't happened yet, but what's the point in it? I think it's important to take everything one step at a time, so take a breath and maybe make a list of what you want to do. Making short term and long term goals helps me put what I want to do in perspective and also makes it seem more manageable.

You are totally valid to worry about your future, Its definitely a common fear that for one reason or another we're not heading in the direction that we truly want to go in. But honestly the best way to put your mind at ease is to know yourself. Do you trust yourself to lead to to the place you want to be, and are you the person you want to be today? If you are not making the decisions today or tomorrow that reflect on what you want and who you want to be you will not be doing so down the road either. Our fear of the future is rooted in fear of our own capabilities, and whether we can rely on our future decisions. So know yourself, trust yourself, if you are not already make an effort to be the kind of person with convictions who will take you where you want to be. You are capable of a great future.

This time two years ago I was suffering from depression and frequent anxiety attacks. Leaving my house was a major struggle and I could not see any hope for a better future. I am now studying for a degree, I have moved to a beautiful new city and am surrounded by wonderful friends. When I look back over the past two years, there were incredibly difficult times, but also achievements that I will always be proud of and remember. I also learnt to take each moment as it comes and appreciate being here as much as I can. Spend your time appreciating the here and now instead of worrying about the future, there is no way to know what the future holds, but you are in control of your present. Live it to its fullest.

Mindfulness is a helpful skill to have in your tool belt when it comes to worrying about the future. Stopping that rapid thought cycle and focusing on what is happening to you in the moment will often stop the worrying. Mindfulness can be focusing on your breathing, focusing on how your feet feel in your shoes, or focusing on how many different colors you see and maybe even trying to name them.

The Facebook "Seen" message gives me a lot of anxiety! When I see that the person has "seen" the message, but does not reply, I start thinking about all the possible reasons why they would 'ignore' me... Does anyone else feel this? If so, how do you cope?
