It may be difficult, but remain as calm as you can. I suggest some deep breathing exercises that help focus your mind. Remind yourself about how much work and time you have put into learning for the exam and that you are aiming to put 110% in to get the grade you want.

Pause. Breath in with your nose for 4 secs. Hold it for 7 secs. Breath out of your mouth for 8 secs. This is trying to relax you and to keep your mind from flipping out.

Ugh that's the worst! One strategy is to make practice tests for yourself and try to simulate the same amount of pressure that you would feel if it were the real thing. Another is to do a "brain dump" if your mind goes blank, just start writing down everything you know about the topic on the back of the test and eventually you will realize you know more than you think. Another is to read through the questions and pick out the absolute easiest ones first as a way to build your confidence.

I personally like doing breathing exercises or reading the questions in a whisper to myself. I find blanking out often means reading a question and not processing it or knowing the answer, but also totally forgetting. Breathing exercises helps me stay focused and concentrated while whispering the question helps me to thoroughly know what the question is asking.

To stop yourself from blanking out I think firstly it's most important to be physically and mentally fresh which means sleep well the night before the exam. This is also important because it's during sleep that your long term memories form and sleeping before the paper will make sure that I remember everything I studied. Also make sure that you aren't studying last minute to ensure that you aren't too stressed when the paper comes around as stress can also cause you to forget things. Instead, study in advance so that you do not as much as need to look at the book the night before the exam so that once the paper comes around everything is just ingrained in you and you are less likely to forget things. Also pay attention to your thoughts ...... by that I mean say your giving a math paper, if you keep telling yourself you will fail your chances of getting stressed are higher, if u remind yourself that you are well prepped you might be calmer â¤ï¸ You could also try things like focal breathing ...... these will just help cement everything u have studied in your mind and keep you calm so that you are less likely to forget things.

Perhaps doing a relaxing meditation before the exam would be beneficial. There are plenty on the app "Calm", and a large variety of different kinds of videos on YouTube. These videos could help calm you before your exam. Along with this, perhaps looking into test anxiety on Google, and looking into some tips to deal with this. I can understand how frustrating it must be to blank out during an exam, but maybe if you focused on some breathing techniques while writing the exam you will be able to stay focused on the exam for the duration of the exam.

Final exams are really tough but I found out that just taking my time and trusting that I studied enough helps. Studying before helps a ton and I make sure that I understand the important topics. Staying focused can be tough while studying but its worth it in the end while taking the test. Knowing that you studied the important parts of the lesson will help a ton! Taking your time is also something that is important. It's not good to rush through the test. Instead, just trust that you know what you know and that this test won't define your life.
