I sometimes deal with morning anxiety. I feel that doing some stretches, especially the cobra, can help. Also go outside and breathe in deeply. Dealing with morning stress is normal. It could be because you have a big day today or stressed by prior events. However, it is important to know that believing in yourself is important. Embrace yourself each day by saying: "I am beautiful, I am strong, and no one can tell me otherwise!" You can also write down encouraging notes on a notebook, or talk to someone on 7 Cups in the morning! I hope this helps.

In my experience, I found that figuring out my stressors, and my coping strategies was a huge help. When we are able to identify our stressors we can learn if we are able to avoid them. If we are not able to avoid them, then identifying our coping skills is a beneficial thing to do. With knowing our coping skills, we can apply them to the stressor and help minimize the effects that the stressor is causing us, Ie. Anxiety. Also, having a good support system in place is a beneficial thing as well. I find for myself, having a strong support system was key.

The hardest part of any journey is getting out the door! My good friend says that, and it applies to so many different things. To deal with anxiety to step out your door, go to school or work or go into a situation you left undone the day before...you just need to start somewhere. Avoiding things just creates more anxiety, and the longer you postpone the longer it builds up inside you. I feel the best in life when I tackle something head-on, in an assertive yet gentle way. You have the power to let go of anxiety, just find out what works for you and practice every day.

make sure you give yourself time in the morning before you go out. This is so that you are not rushing. Prepare everything you need for the day ahead e.g. clothes, food. This takes the pressure off deciding what to wear etc. Have a relaxing evening, take a nice bath, do a face mask, whatever you like. Try and have breakfast if you can, if you feel nauseous have something small. Another tip is to use a day to day diary/planner so that you know exactly what you are doing each day. If it helps you can plan out your day down to the hour. I found that when I did this I could visually see what I had to do and it seemed less overwhelming, it's also nice to tick off :)

I always find it best to repeat three positive affirmations as soon as i wake up. These are the ones i do, but sometimes i change them 'these thoughts are valid and so am i' , 'the panic will pass' and 'i am in control'. This and doing breathing exercises can really help someone whose struggling with morning anxiety whether thats for school, work or just the day ahead. I breath in for the count of 4, hold it for 4, out for 4 and then finally hold for 4. When you're anxious, your breathing can get out of control and make you feel like you have less and less control until you truly have no control
