First, you would have to ask yourself, why should I stop loving this person? If the person is a negative influence on your life then you should list all of the negative things that have happened since the two of you've meet. By reviewing the list, you'll come to understand that, you don't need to be attached to someone like that and you would come to live a better life without them.

I think it's a process. You don't just wake up one day and not love the person you were so attached to. Maybe, you never really "unlove" the person, but you learn to move on. You learn to continue to live your life without them.
