Stress can be both good and bad, it is a product of emotional arousal - which can be happiness and excitement, or anxiety and anger. To reduce your stress, you have to continually monitor the state of your body's arousal. This is done by being mindful of how you physically feel. Are your muscles tense? Is your jaw clenched? Are your actions being performed so quickly that you're getting clumsy? Do you have a high level of energy in your body that is making you feel uncomfortable, like you might be restless and don't know what to do? These are all signs of stress. When you identify symptoms like this, it's a good idea to take a break from whatever you're doing and try some ten to fifteen minute relaxation exercises. This could be as simple as deep breathing, light stretching or even taking time to color a mandala. Whatever activity you choose, try consciously focusing on relaxing your muscles from head to toe. At the end of your break, take a deep breath and pay attention to the difference you feel, which will hopefully refresh you and your ability to concentrate!

If I am stressed with anything, I tried to take a pause and breathe in and out, to calm myself and to meditate. I tried to connect to the earth to let go to whatever that bothers me. Listening to music also helped me a lot. In addition to that, talking to people or doing things that can divert your attention plays a big role too.

Take time to do things you know make you happy, even really tiny things like making a nice snack or putting on your comfiest socks. Just don't forget that tiny things add up to bigger things, and if you are doing a thousand tiny things that make you happy, managing things that are stressful become that much easier.

Meditation is really helpful. You sit and focus on your deep slow breathing and let your thoughts gently pass by without getting involved with them. If you find yourself getting caught up, return to focusing on your deep breaths. 15 minutes a day does wonders! and the more the merrier. Journaling your feelings is also helpful :) you can also talk to calm, collected and carefree people :) Spending some time in the nature and being away from the daily grind really boosts your mood too and is relaxing... taking slow deep breaths is helpful in general and any situation :)

First of all, look at yourself and try to discern what makes you feel stressed. Once the (most obvious) reasons are there, you should work in changing those. You usually won't be able to change everything at once but, heck, try go little by little and finding resources and / or time to deal with it. Sometimes, a stomp in the ground at time can work miracles, or some time off, or just focusing on something you love to do. Whatever the choice is, stick to it until you feel a little better.
That said, this is not an excuse to be playing videogames all day XD

My favorite way to destress is to take some time away from stressful situations. It is nice to go for a walk outside and get some fresh air. It is also nice to talk to a friend or family member, even if it is just a text or a phone call, but even better in person. I also like taking some time to myself and practicing self-care. It looks different at different points in my mood. Sometimes self-care is cooking a nice dinner, or taking a bath, or painting my nails, other times it is stretching out my body or reading a book or watching a funny youtube video. Taking a break from the stressful activity or situation is the best way to stop feeling stressed in the short term, and then you can come back to it with a clearer head.
