I don't believe that anxiety is something that you can completely rid of. Anxiety is definitely the cousin of fear and one of the hardest obstacles to push past. I believe the best way to handle anxiety is to have coping mechanisms to help you relax, than be able to talk yourself through the situation and realize that the only thing that is holding you back is your mind. Once you can get past that I believe anxiety can be dealt with through any situation.

Yes, ask for help of a therapist or something, but you have to decide to help yourself first by believing in yourself and you can do it :)

Anxiety isn't something that will go away overnight, it will take time but it is important to remember that even if it seems like it is taking a life time you can get past it

I think that anxiety fades, but never fully disappears. Like any other activities, over time with practice and the right help you slowly begin to improve how you deal with it. You become skilful in the art of putting that thought to the back of your mind and moving on with what you're meant to be doing.

The Facebook "Seen" message gives me a lot of anxiety! When I see that the person has "seen" the message, but does not reply, I start thinking about all the possible reasons why they would 'ignore' me... Does anyone else feel this? If so, how do you cope?
