Anxiety can absolutely cause someone to feel depressed. You get so built up and anxious about something that you start to think of the negative outcomes. Whatever you're anxious about you'll start to wonder what will happen if your negative view will happen. You then start to spiral and get yourself so caught up in this negative, future outcome that soon enough you become depressed because you are now stuck wondering what you will do once this negative outcome does happen. You then lead yourself to believe you're worthless since you can't overcome your anxiety and that you just can't achieve anything.

I know an overload of stress can lead into depression, finding a mantra or a way to breathe through the stressful event can decrease the chances of falling into depression.

It can, it's not uncommon. You may feel anxious that you're depressed or, if you're trying to hide your depression, you may feel anxious that people might find out. But it could be someting else, it deprends on the person and/or situation. You should tell someone about both your depression and anxiety. You can get better answers from a trained professional.

It can. Anxiety & Depression come hand in hand sometimes. Anxiety fuels Depression and vice versa. However, Anxiety can make us feel low in general as our bodies become exhausted from the worry. See a GP if you feel like you could be suffering from Depression too.

Hello, my name is Lianne and I look forward to connecting with you by chat...
Talk to Lianne NowThe Facebook "Seen" message gives me a lot of anxiety! When I see that the person has "seen" the message, but does not reply, I start thinking about all the possible reasons why they would 'ignore' me... Does anyone else feel this? If so, how do you cope?
