Anxiety can certainly contribute to you feeling depressed, and the opposite is also true. The term 'comorbid' is used to describe two or more different conditions that occur at the same time in one person. In fact, being anxious can leave you at higher risk for depression, and the same is true for other psychological conditions as well.

Absolutely, anxiety and depression closely relate and each can lead to eachother. Feelings of depression are closely linked to anxiety and vise versa.

Yes, I think it can because anxiety can restrict you from doing things that you want to do, and it can make you feel upset and depressed.

While the symptoms of anxiety and depression are different, the process of suffering from anxiety is definitely something that can sometimes (but not always, thankfully!) lead to feeling depressed. Anxiety is something we have to fight off every day, and it's not an easy fight! On top of day to day stress, having to cope with the additional stress anxiety and worry put on your body can seem unfair. It's important to acknowledge there will be good days and bad days when managing anxiety, and however you manage to get through your day is completely okay.

It definitely can. When you limit your daily activities because of your anxiety, it will change the way of social interaction, too. Also, a depression can cause anxiety.
The Facebook "Seen" message gives me a lot of anxiety! When I see that the person has "seen" the message, but does not reply, I start thinking about all the possible reasons why they would 'ignore' me... Does anyone else feel this? If so, how do you cope?
