This depends on so many factors. If you're going cold turkey, it'll be especially hard. Lay on your side, try to sleep as much as possible, and remember to eat. You might throw up, but eat while laying down, or eat right before you sleep to try and maintain as much down as you can. Remember to drink lots of fluids, as you're losing your body fluids. If you're tapering off it, then it's really a question of remembering to treat it like medicine and take it at a consistent time, and gradually wean yourself off of it.

While opiate withdrawal certainly has its challenges, many people benefit from the support, insight and accountability that comes from attending twelve step groups such as Narcotics Anonymous or more science based organizations like SMART Recovery. I hope that helps.

Stay, away from sugar. Find someone to be accountable to. Be active. Stay away from triggers. If you can get away from the place where you used, change up the environment for just a little bit that might be very helpful. Also find people who support you and who want to help you stay clean.
Weed out the people who've you've done opiates with. And stay away from anyone that provided them to you .
