My older brother is an addict so I understand how hard it can be to deal with that from a loved one. When he came out with his addiction his girlfriend had a hard time coming to terms with it and almost left him. She did not and now it’s been 3 years since then and now they’re engaged, they’ve been together a total of 10 years now and I believe they’re doing well so no I don’t think your marriage is a lost cause. It can work out for some and it won’t for others; having to deal with someone addicted to drugs is very difficult and can be straining but I’d you both put in the work it can work out!

There is always hope for everyone. If you think there is a problem with your safety then maybe you should sit down and have a talk with a professional about you feeling unsafe in your home. Seeking guidance from others can give you options on what course of action is best for you to take. Maybe try talking with your husband and building on your connection with him. See what course of action you are both comfortable taking. Both of you need to agree on a course of action before proceeding to see what would best help both of you.

yes, there is hope for sure! people aren't addicted to things without a reason and anyone can recover with love and care, try speaking to him and going out! the best way to help people recover might be to treat them like they already have! Just learn to enjoy life with them while you put their issues aside. Slow dance, cuddle, cook and read together show them that they are loved no matter what they are going though :) People who are addicted know that, what they are doing is harmful but they usually don't have a reason to stop, you could give them a reason to; the reason being that they have a happy life with everything they need. i hope this helps
