Yes, it was a struggle but if you believe you can do it, and you overpower your addiction and you try the best you can, there shouldn't be a problem. But, it wouldn't hurt to find someone to guide you into a sober life. Good Luck!

Hmm, depends what you are referring to. I have completely stopped taking any sort of drug to help with my depression and I am pretty certain I have completely gotten over my depression as well! I was a drug and alcohol addict as well as a religious self-harmer, but I stopped all of that! I even got over my anxiety and eating disorder! :) You can too! Never give up.

Yes, there are millions of drug addicts and alcoholics who live clean and sober. I am one of them, and you can be too if you are willing to make changes. It's not about "just say no"; it's about learning a new way to live. And there is help available. AA is working for me, but there are many programs and professionals who can offer guidance.
