I used to have that problem. Sometimes people's minds just get way too active and have trouble shutting down. Turn off all your devices in your room, make it dark as possible. If music helps you, then go ahead and put on soothing music but make sure your screens are all dark.

Often we're so busy during the day, that we don't have time to focus on the things in like that may be bothering is. Thus, the minute we get some time to ourselves, we start going over things in out head, which, cane keep us awake

because sometimes you just don't feel in the mood to do anything during the day:) and once you wanna go to sleep, you cant because you are too bored trying to go to sleep
I honestly have no idea why this happens, but I do know one thing that always makes me tired and ready to sleep again. ASMR videos, there are endless amounts on youtube and I highly recommend them to anyone with sleeping issues such as insomnia.
Sometimes that can be because our minds will not stop talking. You're laying there in the quiet and what better to do then think? Try sleeping with sound in the background and think about a peaceful place. Being sleepy during the day can be simply because it's daytime and you are "bored". Plus, if you got no sleep, that's another reason.

This happens in the moment when a person does not have many responsibilities on its hands or a regular schedule. Once you set up your own goals and know what you should do each day, you wake up and go towards your goals. In the end of the day, you will not have time to stay awake, because the other goals wait for you to be realized and accomplished in the next day. Therefore, once a person sets up a schedule, they will take responsibilities on their shoulders and sleep on a regular sleeping hour. Organization of your tasks requires time.
