Perfect therapy for people who need help. I would like to say, I never can imagine it could be possible to heal people like that

Sometimes we try something, and because we continue to fail, we think it is impossible. This is not true. What needs to happen is a strategy that is easy to follow. Perhaps have a quick dial number on your phone to a local mental health support line so you can do that immediately. Maybe also have a close family member or friend if you have one available, confide in them and inform them while you are calm how to react if you call with this issue (Distract you, compliment you, tell you the consequences - whatever is best for you). Perhaps identifying root causes such as shame, self-esteem issues, or bad situations or relationships your in would help? For this employing a counselor or psychologist can be useful. Maybe try starting a new hobby which focuses on self-growth, so when you feel like self-abusing you can instead turn to this hobby. Start a pinterest board where you store positive self talk for when you can't generate it for yourself.

It is worth trying because you're making progress, if you're at least trying to stop, then eventually you will be able to stop yourself from hurting yourself.
Things take time and I know from experience that it took a while for me to stop hurting myself so just keep trying! :)

Self harming yourself will not help you recover mentally. Firstly you need to ask yourself what is triggered for you to pick up and cut. You have to believe in yourself to take that first step. Thinking positively. Eliminating possible items to cut. Reach out to a family member. Then discuss what you would want to happen next.
yes, its always worth trying to stop! Why about if you just so happen to stop for good on your 7th time trying? You would never know because you stopped after the 6th. Plus, the more you try to stop, the less times you try to do it, you space out the amount of times you self harm so you become less used to it!
It is always worth trying. But it is also worth learning from the previous attempts to stop harming yourself. It is not easy to stop something we are used to be doing. What makes it easier is to think about why you are doing it, what it brings you, but also what it takes from you. There must be some positives (otherwise, why would you be doing it), but also negatives (otherwise, why would you like to stop it and tried a few times already?). Take some time and think about it. Write things down if that helps you. How were you trying to stop the previous times? How did it go? What were you thinking about instead of harming yourself? What were you feeling? What were you doing to stop the thoughts about it? For how long were you managing? Why did you start again and how that felt? Be curious. Explore your feeling, your physical reactions, your emotions, your thoughts... Learn from the previous experiences and use this knowledge to stop again. Maybe it won't be forever. Maybe you start again. Try your best. Try for longer than the previous time. "If you fail, fail better." Learn from it and apply this knowledge again, if necessary. Good luck!
