Could a diet for depression help your moods? Many studies show that people who exercise regularly benefit with a positive boost in mood and lower rates of depression. Natural treatments and home remedies may be good for milder forms of depression. But there's no hard evidence that they're effective for moderate to severe depression. Changing your lifestyle can have a big effect on your mood. It's crucial to take time to relax. Anxiety and tension can make you feel worse and can intensify the feelings of depression. Many people find that setting up a routine can help with their symptoms. So try to get on a schedule.

In times like these, taking care of yourself mentally is very important â¤ï¸ A thing to consider is how are you spending your time? If your answer is along the lines of “Idk, watching tv?†it might be time you find something new to do! Change can be good to lessen depression. Try a new show out, take up a new hobby/interest like arts/crafts, an instrument, a certain subject, take a free/cheap online class to occupy your time, etc! If you don’t want to do that try changing the way you do things you usually do. Clean? Maybe clean somewhere else you usually don’t or do it longer that day, and make sure to give yourself credit for doing more. Do you already do art? Try drawing/painting/etc things you usually don’t try to do and get better at them.
Depression at home is the hardest because you feel like your caved into your room but it doesn't have to be the case. Pracitcing helping mental health routines will help increase mood changes and help you get your self out of this hole and see the sunshine. Taking a walk outside for atleast 30 minutes a day is key. Listen to music when you go for a walk even, let your brain relax and breathe fresh air. Talking to someone even if it is 7 cups will help with depression so you wont feel like your alone.
Always be productive and do something that is worth while. You can read a book, meditate, clean your room, declutter your room so you can declutter your mind, listen to a podcast (learning about new topics and expanding your mind is really good for you mentally, and will make you the most interesting person in the room wherever you go), journal (you can use different prompts and you can find them online, for example, "What fear have I helped myself overcome? or "Who are 5 people I admire and why?". Take up these new hobbies and it could really make life more interesting, always change things up as well to always have something to look forward to on a daily basis.
