Talking. Talking is one of the best medicines for depression. Get out of bed in the mornings, take your meds, take a shower, listen to some upbeat music, get things done. Reach out and get the help you need. Learning to deal with depression is more effective than trying to stop it.

The short, unsatisfying answer is: you may not be able to. That's not to say you can't find relief and coping techniques to make living with the condition more manageable and even tolerable.
Clinical depression, as opposed to occasional appropriate feelings of unhappiness, is a condition that requires professional assistance, no different than a physical disease like Diabetes or Emphysema. Treatment may involve medication accompanied by therapy and relief may take time to achieve.
Just realize that you're not to blame for your condition, but it is your responsibility to do something about it.
You can't just stop the depression.
Depression occurs when you have no hope or interest in your life.
Find your interest in your life , the depression will automatically dissapear.

Thats a hard one to say. But get yourself out as much as possible no matter what, if you can. Go explore! with money or not. You always have options as well if you just cant seem to pass the mood yourself. I would know, cause i have depression as well. Good luck.
Depression is a chemical imbalance in the brain. if it is seasonal, a change of scenery or maybe a vitamin D supplement may do the trick. Endorphins caused by a good workout or a night out with a friend could help. But it is possible that professional help may be the only way to "stop" your depression. don't give up, and have hope that it gets better! :)

First of all you have to encourage yourself by saying that you will be okay. Start a new sport so you can keep yourself active, drink a lot of green tea cause it helps with depression. Talk to someone you trust so they can help you :)
You can try from your mind. Change how you think, SEARCH for things that make you happy. Find the reasons why you are depressed and one by one work on them to eliminate them. Depression is the other side of being super happy. Just slowly work up on that ladder that broke. You can do this. Be strong and be positive!
You gotta figure out what is causing the depression first before you can stop it. There will always be a trigger.

First, tell myself what I want in life. Write it down. Use a subliminal, get help if necessary. Keep mind occupied with things other than what is stressing myself out,. Learn to relax, learn to forgive, learn to expect lesser
