For the past few days I have been waking up with a crippling kind of depression. I used to have anxiety about the future but this is new. How do I manage this? ?

Perfect therapy for people who need help. I would like to say, I never can imagine it could be possible to heal people like that

Crippling depression can be difficult to manage. One thing you could try is to excercise. When you increase your heart from vigorous excercise, your body will release the chemical dopamine into your system which can provide relief for this feeling. going on walks while listening to your favorite music, or perhaps even a podcast could help provide you the relief you need.

Ask yourself: what has changed; is there anything that may have triggered the depression? If you are in treatment, talk to your treatment team about your new symptoms, if you are not currently in treatment, I would recommend going to or returning to therapy and treatment in general.

Think about what it is in your day that makes you the most anxious and why. You could keep a daily diary and write in the events of the day, with another column for your mood on a scale of 1 (being low/anxious) to 5 (being good). Doing this could help to pin point why you are feeling helpless about the situation so you may work out what you can change to avoid feeling like this in future when you wake up. Observing your mood and feelings about certain things is a very useful indicator of what you may need to alter in your life.
