Hospital Stories for @Tinywhisper11
...See more @Tinywhisper11 is in the hospital (please don’t remove this post; Tiny gave me express permission in another chat to tell people she’s in the hospital, and she’s looking forward to this post!), and she’s bored out of her mind. Can everyone rally together to entertain her, please? Make up a short story, tell her about something funny that happened in your childhood, discuss something that’s happened recently in the world, send her a story like from Aesop’s fables, send her an update on your life… It doesn’t matter what it is, just give her something interesting or funny or whatever to read while she’s bored in the hospital. Also, please note that she may not respond, at least for awhile, because she’s still in the healing process. But know that she’s reading all of it and enjoying it, and she loves and is grateful for all of you! <3 Thank you <3

What are you proud of yourself for today?
...See more What are you proud of yourself for today? 🌟 Hello, lovely people! 💛 I wanted to create this thread to encourage us to celebrate our successes together—big or small. Sometimes, even the tiniest victories, like getting out of bed on a tough day, deserve recognition. 🌱 We often tend to be so hard on ourselves that we overlook the good things we do. Taking a moment to appreciate even the smallest steps forward can help us feel better about ourselves and build our self-esteem. You can share something that happened today or recently—or, if you’d like, something from a longer time ago that you’re still proud of. I remember when I was going through depression, even taking a shower felt like a huge effort. Washing my hair was an accomplishment I felt truly proud of, and it helped me see that small steps really matter.  So, let’s lift each other up! 🌼 What are you proud of yourself for today? It could be anything—finishing a task, showing kindness, or simply taking time for yourself. Let’s celebrate each win, one step at a time:)

No positivity
I listened to my morning affirmations today and they fell on dead ears. Each statement was a lie.  I am not hopeful. I am not overflowing with gratitude. I am not living a life i love.

Benefits of slower eating
...See more When I was working it became normal for me to eat my meals within the shortest time. Usually it took me only a few minutes and it became a habit to have conversations about work whilst eating. I guess you can imagine that my digestion was not very good and that I hardly enjoyed the food even if it was consumed in a nice restaurant. My focus was sadly on my work. In the evening, at home, I did the same thing as at work - I ate very fast. Our health can be significantly impacted by the speed at which we consume.  Eating too quickly can result in a number of health problems. Here are some examples: * Our bodies might not register fullness, resulting in overeating * Poor digestion * Increased risk of heart disease, diabetes and stroke* * Decreased enjoyment of food At one point I felt so bad about my eating that I looked for ways to eat more slowly and something that helped me was to eat with chopsticks and later on I learned about mindful eating.  Participation questions: * Do you eat your meals quickly or do you take your time and appreciate the flavours in each bite? * What helps you to eat slower? If you have serious, long-term problems with negative thinking and feeling depressed, see your doctor or talk to a therapist if they are related to any mental challenges.  Are you looking for a therapist? 7 Cups has online, certified therapists with a paid option.
