The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Waupun, WI, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of advocates for a just and sustainable food system. Sponsored by the Allegheny Mountain Institute, this transformative program empowers selected Fellows through hands-on training in organic food production, ecological literacy, and community engagement. During their immersive six-month residency at AMI’s Allegheny Farm Campus, Fellows gain critical skills in growing and distributing diverse crops, running educational sessions on innovative health care, maintaining community and school gardens, and supporting local farmers markets. Post-residency, they embark on a Community Action Year, where they collaborate with regional non-profits to implement their learnings and drive meaningful change. With no tuition charges, we emphasize accessibility, fostering a diverse cohort of passionate individuals committed to enhancing food access and food justice in their communities. Interested candidates should complete their application by March, with the fellowship typically running from May to October.
