The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Two Rivers, WI, is dedicated to nurturing a new generation of advocates and educators who champion a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Through free, hands-on training at the Allegheny Farm, selected Fellows engage in a comprehensive six-month experiential program focused on organic food system education. Participants learn to cultivate and distribute a variety of crops while establishing school and community gardens, promoting food and ecological literacy, and supporting local farmers' markets. After their immersive study, Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, partnering with regional non-profits to apply their skills and foster healthier food access. Applications are accepted until March each year for the program running from May to October, creating pathways to impactful community engagement and sustainable food practices.
