Located in Shawano, WI, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of advocates and educators for a just food system that promotes social, environmental, and economic equity. Our Fellowship offers a unique opportunity for selected individuals to embark on a six-month immersive experience at Allegheny Farm, where they receive hands-on training in organic food systems, agricultural practices, and food literacy. Participants engage in meaningful projects such as growing and distributing diversified crops, implementing health-focused educational sessions, maintaining community gardens, and supporting local farmers markets. The program culminates in a Community Action Year, allowing Fellows to apply their knowledge in collaboration with regional non-profit organizations. We believe that accessibility is essential, which is why we do not charge tuition, ensuring that individuals from all backgrounds can join us in making a lasting impact on food and ecological health. The application process is open until March each year, with experiences taking place from May to October.
