The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship based in Pleasant Prairie, WI, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of leaders in sustainable agriculture and food advocacy. This transformative program empowers selected Fellows to champion a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. With no tuition fees, we ensure accessibility for all aspiring fellows. Participants engage in an immersive six-month residential study at Allegheny Farm, where they gain hands-on experience in organic food education, crop diversity, and community engagement. Throughout their journey, Fellows collaborate with local non-profit organizations, implement innovative health care education, support community gardens, foster food literacy in schools, and enhance access to healthy food through farmers markets and direct distribution channels. By instilling practical skills and an advocacy mindset, we prepare our Fellows to leave a lasting impact on their communities, promoting healthier and more equitable food systems.
