The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Oshkosh, WI, is dedicated to training and empowering individuals to advocate for a just food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic sustainability. This impactful program provides comprehensive organic food system education without any tuition fees, ensuring accessibility for all who are passionate about fostering positive change. Throughout the Fellowship, participants engage in hands-on experiences that include growing and distributing diverse crops on market-style farms, conducting innovative educational sessions in health care, maintaining community and school gardens, and enhancing food literacy among students. Our Fellows also work to support farmers markets and develop distribution channels to increase access to healthy foods while actively contributing to community food coalition activities. After an immersive six-month residency at the Allegheny Farm Campus, Fellows transition into a Community Action Year, where they apply their training in collaboration with regional non-profit organizations. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the program running from May to October.
