At the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in New London, WI, we are dedicated to empowering individuals to become passionate advocates for a just food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic equity. Our program sponsors and trains Fellows through an immersive experience focused on organic food system education, emphasizing practical skills in growing and distributing crops on market-style farms. Our Fellows engage in impactful educational initiatives, maintain community gardens, and integrate food and ecological literacy into school curricula. By supporting farmers markets and developing distribution channels for healthy food, we strive to enhance access for all members of our community. Participants will benefit from hands-on training over six months at our Allegheny Farm Campus, followed by a Community Action Year where they will put their knowledge into practice with regional non-profits. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the Fellowship experience occurring from May to October.
