Over her 9 years at Rogers Memorial Hospital in the Milwaukee area, she specialized in supporting self-harming and passively suicidal teenagers and their families. Her advanced training in marriage and family therapy was obtained at a prominent clinic in downtown Milwaukee, where she also provided therapy services at a homeless shelter.
