The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, based in Neenah, WI, is dedicated to empowering individuals to promote a food system that is just and sustainable. This hands-on program sponsors and trains Fellows to become effective educators and advocates for social, environmental, and economic justice in food production. Our Fellowship is tuition-free, ensuring that accessibility is at the forefront of our mission. Throughout the six-month experiential training at our Allegheny Farm Campus in Highland County, VA, participants engage in organic food system education, grow and distribute diverse crops, and implement innovative community health initiatives. Fellows also integrate food and ecological literacy into educational settings, support farmers markets, and help expand channels for accessing healthy food. After completing their training, participants enter a Community Action Year, where they partner with regional non-profits to apply their skills and foster lasting change in their communities. Applications are accepted until March of each year, with the program running from May to October.
