Marilsa Hansen is a compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor, holding a Master’s degree in counseling. Whether her clients are confronting the impacts of loss, managing anxiety or depression, or striving to foster healthier relationships, Marilsa listens with a caring and nonjudgmental approach. Her foundation in therapy is supported by research-based practices, having been trained at the esteemed Beck Institute of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in Philadelphia, and completing Level 3 training from the Gottman Institute for Couples Therapy, a well-respected research-based intervention. Marilsa provides therapy to adults and adolescents in both English and Spanish, as she is a native Spanish speaker. Through modalities such as Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and the Gottman Method, she guides her clients toward meaningful personal growth and healing.
