The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in La Crosse, WI, is dedicated to training and empowering individuals to advocate for a food system that champions social, environmental, and economic justice. Our program offers an immersive experience where selected Fellows spend six months engaged in hands-on learning at AMI’s Allegheny Farm Campus, followed by a Community Action Year in partnership with local non-profits. We prioritize accessibility in our Fellowship by not charging tuition, ensuring that aspiring advocates can thrive. Through this initiative, Fellows gain valuable education in organic food systems, grow and distribute diversified crops, implement health education sessions, maintain community gardens, and promote food literacy in schools. Together, we work to create stronger local food networks, support farmers' markets, and increase access to nutritious foods, all while fostering a collaborative spirit within the community.
