The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, located in Green Bay, WI, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of advocates and educators focused on creating a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. This comprehensive fellowship is grounded in experiential learning, providing selected Fellows with the opportunity to immerse themselves in organic food system education at the Allegheny Farm in Highland County, VA. The program emphasizes accessibility by not charging tuition, ensuring that passionate individuals can engage in critical work that includes growing diverse crops, running community gardens, and integrating food literacy into schools. Our Fellows will also support important initiatives like farmer's markets and community food coalitions, ultimately leading to greater access to healthy foods. With a six-month residency followed by a Community Action Year, Fellows apply their skills while working alongside local non-profits, making a tangible impact in their communities. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the fellowship running from May to October.
