The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, located in Edgerton, WI, is dedicated to training and empowering individuals to be advocates for a just and sustainable food system. Our program, offered at the Allegheny Farm, emphasizes organic food system education without tuition fees to enhance accessibility. Participants gain hands-on experience in diversified crop production, community garden maintenance, and educational initiatives aimed at promoting food and ecological literacy. Throughout the six months of immersive learning, Fellows collaborate with local partners to implement innovative health solutions and develop distribution networks to increase access to healthy food. After their residency, Fellows engage in a Community Action Year, joining forces with regional non-profits to apply their knowledge and skills. Applications are due by March, with the fellowship typically running from May to October, nurturing the next generation of leaders in sustainable food systems.
