The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in De Pere, WI, empowers individuals to become advocates for a food system that champions social, environmental, and economic justice. Sponsored by the Allegheny Mountain Institute, this unique fellowship offers a tuition-free curriculum that ensures accessibility while providing comprehensive education in organic food systems. Participants engage in hands-on training at the Allegheny Farm Campus, learning to cultivate and distribute diversified crops on a market-style farm, facilitate innovative healthcare educational sessions, and maintain vibrant community gardens. During their journey, Fellows will deepen their food and ecological literacy, support local farmers' markets, and develop strategies to enhance access to healthy foods within the community. The fellowship culminates in a transformative Community Action Year, where selected individuals collaborate with regional non-profits to apply their knowledge and drive meaningful change.
