The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, located in Chippewa Falls, WI, passionately empowers individuals to champion a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Through comprehensive training at the Allegheny Farm in Virginia, we provide our Fellows with valuable education in organic food systems, enabling them to become influential advocates and educators. Our program is tuition-free to ensure accessibility for all aspiring leaders in food equity. Fellows engage in hands-on experiences, which include cultivating diverse crops, implementing innovative health care education, maintaining community and school gardens, and enhancing food literacy programs. They also support farmers markets and develop effective distribution networks to increase access to healthy foods while mentoring future generations. With a six-month immersive learning phase followed by a Community Action Year collaborating with local non-profits, our fellowship cultivates a community dedicated to fostering sustainable food systems. Applications are open until March for experiences occurring from May to October each year.
