At the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Burlington, WI, we are dedicated to nurturing the next generation of advocates for a just food system. Our program offers a transformative six-month experiential learning opportunity at the Allegheny Farm in Highland County, VA, where selected Fellows engage in organic food system education and practical training. We empower our Fellows to flourish by providing them with the tools and knowledge to promote social, environmental, and economic justice within the food landscape. During their time with us, participants will grow and distribute diversified crops, run community educational sessions, maintain gardens, and enhance food literacy in schools. Our commitment to accessibility means we do not charge tuition, ensuring that anyone passionate about creating a sustainable food system can join our mission. Following their training, Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profit organizations to implement their insights and impact local communities. With opportunities to mentor future cohorts, our fellowship provides a pathway to drive real change in the food system.
