The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Black River Falls, WI, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of leaders committed to creating a fair and sustainable food system. Through hands-on training and empowerment, we equip our Fellows with the knowledge and skills needed to advocate for social, environmental, and economic justice in agriculture. Our program offers comprehensive organic food system education without tuition costs to enhance accessibility. Fellows engage in diverse activities such as growing and distributing crops on market-style farms, implementing innovative health education sessions, maintaining community and school gardens, and integrating food and ecological literacy into educational curricula. Additionally, they support farmers markets and create channels for increased access to healthy foods while collaborating with local non-profits during their Community Action Year following their six-month immersive experience at our Allegheny Farm Campus. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the program running from May to October, allowing passionate individuals to make a tangible impact in their communities.
