The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Baraboo, WI is dedicated to nurturing passionate individuals to become advocates for a fair and sustainable food system. Our program sponsors and empowers fellows to engage in hands-on, organic food system education, fostering a commitment to social, environmental, and economic justice. Through an immersive six-month residential experience at Allegheny Farm in Virginia, fellows learn to grow and distribute diverse crops, implement innovative health education in collaboration with community partners, and engage in meaningful community initiatives like maintaining local gardens and supporting farmer's markets. After their fellowship, participants embark on a Community Action Year, applying their knowledge in partnership with regional non-profits to enhance access to nutritious food and promote food literacy. We believe in making this opportunity accessible by not charging tuition, and we invite applicants to complete their submissions by March for the following program year which runs from May to October.
