The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Appleton, WI, is dedicated to nurturing leaders who advocate for a food system rooted in social, environmental, and economic justice. Through our comprehensive program, we empower Fellows with hands-on training in organic food systems, ensuring accessibility by offering the Fellowship tuition-free. Participants engage in a six-month residency at the Allegheny Farm Campus, where they learn to grow and distribute diverse crops, maintain community gardens, and facilitate educational sessions focused on food and ecological literacy. In addition, our Fellows actively contribute to farmers markets and strengthen community food initiatives, all while partnering with local non-profits during their Community Action Year to advance food assistance efforts in the region. Applications are accepted until March of each year, with the program running from May to October, equipping the next generation of advocates for a better food future.
