Amanda Nguyen is a Pre-Licensed Professional with a Master of Arts and Master of Education in Mental Health Counseling from Columbia University, as well as a Bachelor's degree from Brandeis University. She completed her clinical graduate internship at Fordham University, where she provided support to students from diverse backgrounds facing challenges related to career exploration, transitional stress, anxiety, and depression. As an Asian American and daughter of refugees, Amanda is committed to illuminating intersectional identities and fostering an understanding of identity exploration within her therapeutic methods, viewed through a multicultural lens. In her practice, she creates a safe, non-judgemental, and supportive environment for all clients. Amanda employs a range of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and person-centered techniques, adapting her methods to the unique needs of each individual. Her client-centered and interactive approach emphasizes collaboration, allowing clients to navigate through life’s challenges, whether they are experiencing major changes, low moods, or seeking additional support.
