Richard Meeks is a compassionate counselor with a wealth of experience in supporting clients through the complexities of work, friendship, and intimacy. He empowers individuals to rise above life's inevitable challenges, helping them navigate through the snares set by Fear, Anger, and Despair. He believes that encouragement is the key that nourishes the potential for a meaningful life, and that courage flourishes through authentic relationships. With a Humanistic approach rooted in Adlerian and Existential-phenomenological Psychology, Richard brings authenticity, understanding, and compassion to his counseling practice. He focuses on nourishing psychological and emotional growth, particularly in the realms of parenting, marriage, and personal connections. Over two decades, Richard has dedicated his career to counseling individuals, couples, and families, assisting clients from preteen to elder ages. His extensive experience includes serving for 20 years with severely disturbed adults in a community residential setting, 17 of which were as Clinical Director, responsible for hiring, training, and supervising clinical staff. For the past 26 years, he has successfully guided his clients through their unique challenges in both agency and private psychotherapy settings, also offering professional consultation and supervision toward licensure.
