The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship based in Mountlake Terrace, WA, is dedicated to empowering individuals to champion a fair and sustainable food system through comprehensive training and hands-on experience. This transformative program sponsors talented Fellows who engage in six months of immersive, residential training at the Allegheny Farm Campus in Highland County, VA, followed by a year of community action where they implement the skills they've learned in partnership with local non-profit organizations. Our focus on organic food system education equips Fellows to grow and distribute a variety of crops, teach food and ecological literacy in schools, support community and school gardens, and enhance access to healthy foods through farmers markets and innovative distribution channels. With no tuition fees, our Fellowship prioritizes accessibility, ensuring that passionate individuals can participate and contribute to building a socially, environmentally, and economically just food system in their communities. Applications are accepted until March each year for an experience that typically runs from May to October.
