The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Kennewick, WA is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of leaders committed to creating an equitable food system. Through hands-on training, our Fellows learn to advocate for sustainable agricultural practices that are socially, environmentally, and economically just. Our fellowship, which is tuition-free to ensure accessibility, includes practical education in organic farming, community engagement, and food literacy. Participants will have the opportunity to grow and distribute diverse crops, implement innovative health education sessions, maintain community and school gardens, and support local farmers markets and food direct-to-consumer programs. Selected Fellows enjoy a six-month experiential residential learning experience at the Allegheny Farm Campus, followed by a Community Action Year, where they apply their skills within regional non-profit organizations. To join our mission and empower change, applications are accepted until March of each year, with the fellowship running from May to October.
