Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

Allegheny Mountain Institute (AMI)
Grandview, WA US
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Grandview, WA, is dedicated to nurturing change agents who advocate for a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Through comprehensive training programs, we empower selected Fellows to explore and implement organic food system education while engaging with diverse community initiatives. Our Fellows gain hands-on experience by growing and distributing crops on a market-style farm, facilitating innovative health care education, maintaining community gardens, and promoting food literacy in schools. Moreover, they play a vital role in supporting farmers markets and enhancing access to healthy foods through direct-to-consumer strategies. Over a six-month experiential residency at our Allegheny Farm Campus, followed by a Community Action Year, our Fellows partner with regional non-profit organizations to make a tangible impact. We believe in making this transformative experience accessible, which is why we do not charge tuition for participation. Interested individuals are encouraged to apply by March each year for the fellowship running from May to October.
