They also play a vital role in teaching food and ecological literacy, supporting farmers markets, and developing distribution channels for enhanced access to healthy foods. Throughout their six-month residency, selected Fellows participate actively in their communities, applying their training with local non-profits during their Community Action Year. Applications are accepted until March, with experiences typically running from May to October each year, fostering both personal growth and positive community impact.
