Dr. Esther Karson is a compassionate and skilled psychologist who understands that emotional pain can often feel awkward and challenging to articulate. Acknowledging how difficult it can be to reach out for support, she offers a safe space for individuals grappling with anxiety, depression, panic, trauma, self-loathing, or relationship concerns. Utilizing an insight-oriented, psychodynamic approach, Dr. Karson assists her patients in interpreting their feelings and behaviors through the lens of their internal dialogues and psychological histories. With extensive training and experience as both an adult and child clinical psychologist, as well as being an internationally certified psychoanalyst, Dr. Karson approaches her therapeutic work with integrity, discipline, and deep compassion. In addition to her clinical practice, she teaches psychoanalysis at the Northwestern Psychoanalytic Society and Institute and the Center for Object Relations.
